Jason Wallis Photography (Bio):

Having lived in Southern California for ten years, Jason's clients include major hotel campaigns, magazines, catalogues, pro-surfers, celebrities, supermodels, senators and Fortune 500 CEOs. He has photographed the 2008 St Regis Hotels campaign, several Ezekiel, Creative Recreation and Hot Tuna campaigns; as well as campaigns for Tyler Rose Swimwear, Vestal watches, SabreVision and JeeVice sunglasses, J&C Jeans and Sanuk among others.

Jason is a photographer for Orange Coast Magazine and has photographed the editorials of almost every issue for the last eight years. He also shot fashion for Damsel magazine where he was formally Director of Photography.

Jason's photoshoots have been regularly featured on Fox morning news (additional videos: one, feature two , three); and he is a guest speaker yearly at California State University, Fullerton.

Jason was born and raised a New Zealander. It wasn't until he began a Masters Degree in in New Zealand that he finally subsided to the pull of the visual arts. He pulled out of the course and relocated to the acclaimed Brooks Institute in Santa Barbara.

His photography has a quality of beauty and elegance that is evident in his considered use of light and setting. He has a particular talent for capturing the essence of an era in his pieces, whether it is the self-conscious glamour of 1970's Barbarella, the puritan picket fence suburbia of the 1950s or the contemporary urban slouch of slacker films.

Most importantly, Jason is genuinely interested in people and has an honest, relaxed attitude to life that creates the comfortable atmosphere in which he likes to work.

Jason operates a full-service photography studio in Orange County which is also available as a popular photo rental studio(see photos) in Costa Mesa (Click here for directions).

Jason also regularly works in Los Angeles and rents a studio on a job by job basis. He is especially inspired by Downtown LA.
